Manifold Gaskets

Manifold Gaskets with Manifold Advantages!

Fluids passing into the engine like air and fuel at usually at a lower temperature, hence intake manifold gaskets operate under comparatively less demanding conditions. Elastomer seals without any substrates or soft material gaskets usually suffice for this application.

Exhaust manifold gaskets, on the other hand are exposed to high temperatures and pressures of exhaust gases being expelled from the combustion chamber and are usually made from metal-elastomer or multilayer steel materials, with or without heat shields.

Garima Global supplies components for a wide variety of on-road, off-road, industrial and stationary applications such as: automotive (light duty) and light commercial, trucks (heavy duty), tractors (agricultural), earthmoving and construction machinery, generators, irrigation pumps, and defence / special purpose vehicles.

The brands for which we manufacture and export aftermarket products are Caterpillar, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Citroen, Cummins, Daewoo, DAF, Daihatsu, Detroit Diesel, Deutz, Fiat, Ford, Hino, Honda, Hyundai, International, Isuzu, Iveco, John Deere, Kamaz, Kia, Komatsu, Kubota, Land Rover, Leyland, Lister Petter, Lombardini, Mack, Mahindra, MAN, Massey Ferguson, Mazda, Mercedes Benz, Mitsubishi, Navistar, Nissan, Onan, Perkins, Peugeot, Renault, Scania, Suzuki, Tata, Tatra, Toyota, Ursus, UTB, Volvo, Yanmar and Zetor, amongst others.

We strongly encourage you to contact us with your specific requirements so that we can email you the relevant catalogs, and we look forward to starting a mutually beneficial business relationship with you soon!

The most demanding applications mandate effective sealing performance even under extreme temperatures and pressures, which is where multilayer steel gaskets display their technical excellence over any other type of inlet or exhaust manifold gasket. They usually consist of one or multiple layers of elastomer-coated or non-coated metal sheets.

Where grooves cannot be machined into the manifold to accommodate an elastomer gasket, metal-elastomer gaskets consisting of a base metal sheet (mostly alloyed steel / stainless steel / spring steel / aluminium) with vulcanised elastomer diaphragms are the intake / exhaust manifold gaskets of choice.

AutoGRACE brand metal-elastomer gaskets are manufactured by the foremost manufacturers of head gaskets in India with whom Garima Global has developed a comprehensive range suitable for light, medium and heavy duty applications.

Striking the optimum balance between effective sealing ability and cost, elastomer seals with no substrate may be used for basic sealing of all engine joints, include intake manifolds. However to be effective they require supporting frictional features to be machined into the part being sealed, usually in the form of grooves. The material, cross section and profile of the elastomer seals can be customized at minimum cost to the specific part and fluid being sealed, thus achieving maximum effectiveness at economical costs.

For general sealing at locations not subject to high thermal or pressure loads, soft gaskets made from a variety of composite materials like fibres, fillers, binders, ASA / SAS sandwich, Bakelite etc. are the primary choice for their cost effectiveness. Due to environmental and safety concerns, AutoGRACE® brand gaskets have replaced CAF (compressed asbestos fibre) jointing materials by non-asbestos jointing materials.
