AutoGRACE® brand valve spring retainers (also known as valve stem retainers, or simply valve retainers) are developed according to specs Garima Global determines in coordination with its OEM and aftermarket customers. Subsequently the leading valve retainer manufacturers in India produce these designs in state-of-the-art plants and the products are then put through stringent quality controls by our QC team.
Primary function of the valve retainers is to work in tandem with valve collets and lock the valve spring in place. To resist the constant pressure the spring exerts on the retainers and the rapid oscillatory movement, high strength materials with excellent stiffness and fatigue strength must be used to manufacture valve retainers.
For high-volume production cold forging process allows for low unit cost and better control of the material grade. For smaller production runs, CNC turning process has the advantage of low setup and development costs using standard bar stock of appropriate material and size.
