Product

A typical engine requires different types of gaskets and seals, in as many types of materials, and their importance is often realized only when one of them fails. So critical are engine gaskets and seals that even during early stages of engine development, it is impossible to test engine components without a properly designed and functioning sealing system.

Garima Global is one of the best suppliers of high-quality gaskets kits in
India because we make substantial investment in the development of
these sealing systems.

Garima Global makes substantial investment in the development of these sealing systems to ensure they offer long and reliable service life even under adverse operating conditions typical to aftermarket including aggressive media, extreme thermal and pressure loads, suboptimal fuel quality etc.

These components are sourced from the leading manufacturers of engine gaskets and seals in India and put through intensive quality control before being exporter to our customers. Garima Global supplies the below engine sealing components in its well-known AutoGRACE brand worldwide in asbestos-free materials to comply with modern environmental norms.

TYPES OF Engine Gaskets And Seals

Gasket Sets

Garima Global has developed thousands of gasket sets with leading Indian gasket manufacturers, each set containing just the right number of components to ensure your customer is not required to buy anything that is not needed, while ensuring that everything required to overhaul or repair the engine is available in one convenient package.

Head Gaskets

The head gasket is the primary sealing components between the engine block and the cylinder head. It not only seals but also transmits forces across the head-block interface, thus influencing the overall force distribution in the engine system substantially. This places extreme demands on the head gasket to seal the combustion chamber completely at all points of the combustion cycle. Hence head gaskets need to be designed and manufactured using very durable materials.

Manifold Gaskets

Fluids passing into the engine like air and fuel at usually at a lower temperature, hence intake manifold gaskets operate under comparatively less demanding conditions. Elastomer seals without any substrates or soft material gaskets usually suffice for this application. Exhaust manifold gaskets, on the other hand are exposed to high temperatures and pressures of exhaust gases being expelled from the combustion chamber and are usually made from metal-elastomer or multilayer steel materials, with or without heat shields.

Valve Cover Gasket

Valve cover gaskets also known as rocker cover gaskets or tappet cover gaskets operate under low thermal and pressure loads but are constantly exposed to engine oil splashes from the valve train. They seal the joint between the valve cover and the cylinder head and are the most frequently used leak repair product. Hence appropriate rubber and cork based compounds resistant to oil, solvents and fuels are used.

Oil Pan Gasket

Oil pan gaskets, also known as sump gaskets, seal the joint between the engine block and the oil pan, which contains the engine lubricating oil. Hence appropriate rubber and cork based compounds resistant to oil, solvents and fuels are used. Defective seal at the sump will cause oil drops at a minimum and excessive oil consumption in the worst cases.

Engine Oil Seals

Oil Seals

An engine contains a myriad of rotating and sliding shafts like crankshafts, camshafts, valve stems and so on, and their motion is lubricated by oil. Oil seals are critical to prevent passage of this lubricating oil along the shaft to the other areas of the engine where it can cause serious damage.

Valve Stem Seals

The most important function of a valve stem seal is to meter the flow of lubricating oil along the valve stem. If it seals too tightly, chances of valve scuffing and ultimately seizure increase due to insufficient lubrication between the valve guide and the valve stem. However, if the seal is not tight enough, too much oil will seep through causing excessive oil consumption and high emission level in the engine.
